Balanced Choice Vending not only aims to provide great vending services, but also to give back as much as we can.
BCV Foundation is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit arm of Balanced Choice Vending that allows us to give back in big ways to the communities that we serve.
We operate programs that we have designed to serve in the best capacity we can.
Our mission is to strengthen under-served communities and to support generational change through resources, mentoring & training.
The 15th Program
From our Founder: “Growing up, we were on food stamps. We ate pretty well from the 1st through the 15th, but that’s when our food stamps would run low. From the 15th on, we made due with what we had left. We would often go to school hungry and our free school breakfast and lunch would be the only nutritious food we got that day.”
In 2021 this program will begin expansion into other markets across the Country.
The Saturday that falls after the 15th of each month, we will be distributing boxes of food locally in the DMV (DC, MD, and VA) where our headquarters is located. Each individual will receive one box, and families will receive 2 boxes of shelf-stable foods such as pasta, rice, shelf stable milk, peanut butter, canned fruit, granola bars, chips and snacks from our vending stock, and more. Distribution food box locations will be announced on Instagram 72 hours prior to the distribution date each month. Connect with us on Instagram @the15thprogram to stay updated.
As a vending company, we have unique relationships with food and snack suppliers and we want to use those relationships to the benefit of the communities we’re in.
We believe that each one can teach one. Our mentoring program is designed to help youth and young adults prosper in school, in their community, and in their home. Our mentoring program also educates participants about the vending industry and the many different career paths offered within the vending world and we offer interested participants a path to employment with us.
Please complete the below form and we will reach out to you about enrolling in our mentoring program. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or legal guardian must complete and submit the form.
Balanced Choice Vending hosts an annual Halloween-themed community event and fun run to fundraise for BCV Foundation so that we can continue giving back to the community through donations, career opportunities, and supplying food to our neighbors.
Stay tuned for more information about our 2022 event.
Donations can be made through monetary or in-kind donations. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
We are thankful for every ounce of support, big or small, so that we can effectively serve the community.
